Highway to Hope is a non-profit organization helping Black and Indigenous youth from underserved and low-income communities in Toronto access career pathways in the transportation industry.
Founded by licensed truck drivers who grew up in and understand the same communities we aim to serve, Highway to Hope was created to provide the guidance, support, and opportunities we wished we had growing up. We know firsthand how the right opportunity can change the direction of a young person’s life.
Through our Drive & Thrive program, we help youth pursue commercial driver’s licence training while reducing barriers such as transportation costs, safety gear, licensing expenses, and lack of mentorship. Our program also provides financial literacy, career coaching, and real-world guidance from people who have walked the path themselves.
Our goal is to help young people build confidence, develop life and career skills, and move toward stable futures filled with opportunity, independence, and hope.
